THE BUDGET.
REVOLT AGAINST LANDLORDISM. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.] (Per Press Association.) Received November 2, at 8.20 p.m. London, November 2. Mr Llovd-George in an article published in the National Magazine claims that in five elections since the introduction of the Budget, it has been demonstrated that a majority of the voters are for the Budget, the Bermondsey election being no exception. The enthusiasm created by the Budget means that the country has risen in revolt against land monopoly. He suggests that the new State valuations must be the basis for all plans of communal purchase for municipalities fotthe development of towns and for State re-creation of rural life. He adds: ' c are freeing Ireland from crippling landlordism. Is nothing to be done for England?"
