SIX-INCH GUN PRACTICE.

(Per Press Association.) Wellington, November 2. The Petone Navals fired a first-class firing course, this morning with six-inch guns at ranges varying from 5000 to 4UOII yards at towed targets, with a mean range of 4200 yards. Eleven rounds were fired and nine hits recorded. the misses being seventy and eighty yards short. No. 1 gun fired its six rounds in 4min Usee, and No. 2 gun its five rounds in 4min lOsec. The umpire considers the results very satisfactory.
