Thn unfortunate accident which happened to Mr Henry Saint George, Tnnit.v College Examiner, laßt wook will probably cause soino dislocation of his timetable, so that tho dato of Lis visit to Oainaru is at present uncertain. ill's Stephenson, widow o£ tho lato John Stephenson, of tho firm of Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., died today. It in stated that gjio recently joined the Roman Catholie Church. Tin' friends and pupils of Miss Maudo Kibblewhite, of Oiimnni, will l»* plousod to hear of her successes in tho rocent Duncdin Technical examinations. Miss Jvibblewhito gained iirst-olass _ certificates in dressmaking, plain sewing, and high-class cookery, obtaining Oft per cent, of marks in the last-named subject. The appointments of William luivbtirgli and William Kdward Vine as telegraph -messengers in the Oaniarn office are, gazetted. .Mr .John Priekard has been appointed postmaster and telegraphist at Ivnrow. Maggie Jane Robertson has been appointed postmistress and telephonist at Westrn.
