THE AWAKENING OF GREECE.
THE ARMY REHABILITATED. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.] (Per Press Association.) Received September 4, at 1 a.m. London, September 3. It is semi-oflicially declared that the demands of the Greek officers included the resignations of the royal princes, not because the movement was antidynastic, but as part of a scheme of military reforms, which the Premier now undertakes, and under which the four princes will retire. ,• Another account says the mutineers have attained their object—the withdrawal of the princes from the highest positions in the army. The Cretans give assurances respecting the Greek flag, and promise an immediate settlement and the withdrawal of the national forces. Some have already gone abroad.
