LABOR CONDITIONS IMPROVING.

(Per Press Association.) "Wellington, September 1. The unemployment difficulty is rapidly oil the mend, judging by facts in the possession of the Hon. J. A. Millar (Minister of Labor). Mr Millar informed a New Zealand Times representative to-day that work was getting much more plentiful. Reports received from the Labor Department branches all over the country indicated that the labor market was becoming again normal. "So the crisis is over?" queried the pressman. "There never was any crisis," answered Mr Millar. "A slight increase of unemployment this winter was accentuated by an inducement to come to the towns, thus concentrating the out-of-works at two or three centres. Whatever little difficulty there was is disappearing, and the outlook is favorable, for good young men are leaving public works all the time, because they are able to find other employment."
