At a meeting of the committee appointed to make arrangements for the North Island Brass Bands Association's 1910 contest, a sub-committee reported that £7OO had been guaranteed by local tradesmen. The following prize list was adopted—A Grade: £IOO, £56, and £25; B grade: £SO, £25, £ls 10s, and £5; quickstep:<£4o, £20,. and £10;- — grand total, £350. .The question-of inviting ari''Australian, hand was discussed, but nothing definite was done. It was resolved that the Association be approached'wifh% View gf having tlie disqualification of tlie Wellington Garrison Band removed.
