Tlu' Harbormaster reported at today's meeting of the Harbor Board that since last reporting 20 steamships with an aggregate tonnage of 18,11)4 tons had arrived at and departed from the port "t' Oamartt. During the period covering tiie Harbormaster's report inward cargo at the port of Oamaru amounted to 3074 tons [lent i!qr. and outward to 3096 tons, making a total of 09SO tons llcwt 3qr of cargo handled. Tiie iVgahere sailed at G. 30 last evening for Lyttelton. from which port she will probably leave-for Greymouth tonight. The Storm (North Otago Farmers" Co-operative Association, agents) arrived in port at about noon to-day from Dunediti. and after shipping about 00 tons of produce for "Wanganui, sailed again early this afternoon for Tirnaru. The Vhangape left Dttnedin at 11 o'clock this morning for Oamaru. and may be expected about -5 p.m. After discharging her cargo of coal she proceeds to Timaru.

The Waitemata is now discharging coal at Lyttelton, and on completion of her discharge will sail tor Timarti. Daman i. arid Dunedin. probably on Thursday. The Kurow sails from the Bluff at 11 o'clock to-morrow morning with a cargo of coal. The steamer Almerian had a thrilling experience recently, whilst crossing the Atlantic to St. .John's.
