POLLARDS' JUVENILE OPERA COMPANY.
"RIP VAxV WINKLE "—TO-NIGHT Judging In the number of scats boo Led, l.tte-comeis at the Opera House to-night will piob.ibly be confionted with the "standing room onlj" card. This is only as it should be, as local playgoers recognise the fact that if.it. were not for Mr Pollard's energy they would not have brought to their doors Old World successes, with a large and capable company to adequately present them. A feature.of to-night's performance will be the lavish manner in which the piece will be staged. No expense has been spared, and everything used from beginning to end has been made in the Dominion. The total cost of the production exceeded over £BOO. "The Pollards," as they are familiarly called, are immense favorites with p'lavgocrs, not only through their artistic 'capabilities, but through the 'rood name" thev bear in private life. As "Rip Van. Winkle is a long opera, the curtain will rise to-night at eight o'clock 'sharp, when patrons, to thoroughly enjoy the performance, shouldbein their seats.
