Lebaudy, and fitted with an engine of 135 horsepower, made a successful flight from Nantes, and attained a speed ol 33 miles an hour, carrving seven pasengers. At the Rheims tests Farman covered ]l2 miles in 3hr 4min 56isec. He wins the Grand Prixe value £2OOO sterling. Latham won the second prize of £IOOU, and Paulhan the third of £4OO. Received August 30, at 8.20 a.m. Paris, August 30. Curtis, aii American', won the ten kilometres aeroplane speed race m 7mm 55see, and also the Gordon Bennett SO kilometres speed prize consisting or a cup of a value of £IO,OOO, with a trophy worth £SOO. • He flew the 20 kilometres in lomin. Slsec. Bleriot was second in 15min 56sec, and Latham third in 17 min 33sec.
