WEST'S PICTURES.
On Monday evening next West's Pictures and De Groen's Vice-Regal Orchestra- will commence their Oamaru .season in the Municipal Theate, when they promise to submit new and attractive programmes of pictures and music.- The interest will be centred on the records and reproductions by the new invention called the cinophone-—a most wonderful instrument—by which the human voice, music, or any natural or mechanical sound can be rendered in perfect harmony with the picture as it is shown on the screen. Another attractive item to lie included in the first programme is entitled, '"Lady Letmere's jewels," a peculiarly fascinating ■picture drama hy Mr G. R. Sim. The characters in this production have been taken by some of tho best-known English artists, who are .introduced to the audience by means of special .portrait studies before the story is pictorially commenced. A full programme of other scenic, travel, dramatic, and humorous subjects will he presented, all up to the standard of this company's. past reputation.
