ADDIXGTOX MARKETS. (Per Press Association - .) Christ-church, March 24. At Addington live stock market to-day tliere v.vre again large entries of stock, and a good attendance. Store sheep sold at about last week's rates, fat lambs were easier in consequence of exporters having reduced their limit price by id per lb. Prime beef showed 110 change, but inferior and cow beef were down about is per lCOlb. Pigs of all classes were easier. There W'as an entry of between 4000 and SCCO store sheep, mostly ewes of all classes and ages, with a- few wethers and a small proportion of good lambs. Ewes,. although in fair demand, showed i>rac-t'ically no change in value*. Good sorts of young, and sound-mouth ewes again sold well, while aged and inferior sorts were neglected or were only saleable at very low prices. Four and 6-tooth ewes sold up to 16s 6d, and poorer lines of sound-mouth ev.es 10s 6d to 13s 6d. Wethers were dull of sale, and prices were again low. Fairly forward lines made 19s 6d to lis 6d. The few lines of lambs on oiler sold at rates that showed a downward tendency. The entrv of fat lambs totalled 0152 as against about BCOO last week, and. on the whole the yarding was of good quality. Export buyers had again reduced' thenlimits per lb, and they are now 4|d up to 5611), from o6lb to 421b, oil for over 421b, and 4d for second quality. Though there was some outside speculation, prices generally were easier than week. There were 4611 taken for free/.intr at lis to 13s 4d, and a few extra at 14s 4:1. Butchers took 319 at lis to los Sd, extra to 14s, and 222 were passed in. There was a smaller entry of fat sheep than usual, the supply being barely sufficient- for butchers' requirements. Wethers sold at a further advance upon last week s rates of from 6d to Is per head. Kwes -hoived little or no improvement. Prime wethers made l£s to 16s 9d, extra to 17s ICd. others 12s 2d to 14s 6d, prime ewes lis 6d to- los. extra to 16s ; and others 7s 6:1 to 10s 6d. There were 369 head of fat cattle penned. a good proportion being of a class. There was a larger number of cows than last week, and they met with a dull sale. Prices came down about- Is per ICCIb. prime beef sold at _about lastweek's rates. Steers made £7 2s 6d to £lO 15s. heifers £4 5s to £8 17s fed, and i--.-v.-s £5 15s to £6 15s (equal to 22s for prime- 13s 6d to 2Cs for medium, and 15s to 18s for cow and inferior per 1001b). Pigs.—Bo were penned. I'orkcrs and baconers were in fair supply, and prices were equal to last "weeks. Suckers and slips were poorly supplied, and there was good competition. last- weeks prices being maintained. Quotations: Suckers 12s to los, slips 17s_to 19s, stores 25s to 50s, porkers 36s to 465. light baconers 45s to 475. heavy 48s to 5Cs. Oats.—The market remains on a par with last-'week. The offerings of now crop are now jleavier, but- as yet no great quantitv has been put on the market. Prime milling Is 5(1, good to best feed Is 4d to ls = 4id, medium Is 2d to Is 3id per bushel (sacks extra). Wheal.—Millers are ready buyers ol prime lots at late values. To-day values are from 3s lOd to lis per bushel on trucks, according to quality and length of rail, fowl feed &» 9d to 3s lid.
