Several cases of New Zealand 'poultry, prepared at the Government depot here, for display" at - the Shepherd's Bush Exhibition were sent to the freezing works to-day in readiness for shipping to London. The bills are all young, ranging from three to five months, and are tine examples of what New Zealand can produce in the way of high class poultry. The weights of the different lots are: 12 black Orpingtons, 601b; 12 white Wyaudottes, S9lb; 12 Plymouth Koeks, 531b; 6 Houdans (very young), 221b; 12. Leghorn spring chickens, 261b; 6 goslings, 511b; 12 ducklings, 59ib. The ducklings and goslings were procured from Burley's poultry farm, Sprcydon, and the remainder of the consignment from the Governmentfarm, Burnham.
