There is certainly a halo of romance attaching to the forthcoming return visit or these wonderful hoys. The sous of a distinguished Russian conductor, they were compelled to leave their .native land during and heeauso of the terrible persecutions to which their fellow religionists were subjected, and after unheard-of hardships, including many nights spent in the snow, they reached more enlightened lauds and were hailed as nothing short <;f musical geniuses. Leo (aged 16) is a violinist of extraordinary powers. Jan (aged 13) possesses the most marvellous gifts as a pianist, whilst little Mischel (aged 12) plays the ''cello in a manner which is beyond words to describe. For the past 18 months they have been the idols of the London public, and their colonial tours are under the direction of Mr Edward Branscombc. They are due to appear in the Municipal Opera House. _Oamaru, on Wednesday evening, March 17th, for one farewell concert only, when a large gathering of musical people are expected to oe present to bid adieu to these clever boys. The plan of reserved seats is now open at the Dresden. Prices of admission will be 4s, 3s and 2s.
