West's Pictures.

Since the first exhibition in (Jamaru of Mr West's collection of picture films the name has always stood good in that most popular form of entertainment. West's is a solid picture show of high educational value with nothing of the cheap and nasty about it. They don't conthie to put before us the same old films on the same old subjects time after time until the films are -worn out and the them© threadbare, out their repertoire is ever fresh, always receiving accessions of new material ol current interest. Anything of general public interest attracts the particular attention of the management, and whatever it may be or however far from our shores its scene mav be laid, it is served up to us in a most attractive form. Next to viewing the actual spectacle, nothing can give a more comprehensive idea of the scene than the film as presented by West's. We cannot all be privileged to travel, yet we may view foreign countries as they actually appear, and even those who are fortunate enough to visit far-off lands have not the opportunity of being present at certain ceremonies, but the visit of the King and Queen of England to the Italian monarchs is pourtrayed for us to the life, or we may follow the British Navy through all the evolutions of the manoeuvres, viewing all the incidental scenes on board our first line of defence. So that the eye may not be wearied there are projected on the screen at intervals pictures of a lighter and more amusing character, but whatever the nature of the subject, the view is always a good one. The management announce that they will to-night submit a complete change of pictorial subjects, included in which will be ah interesting and realistic picture of the last Melbourne Cup, showing scenes on the lawn and course, and also Lord Nolan's great win. Some beautiful_ scenic effects are promised in "Biarritz" and "Brigands in Calabria." also "Watevfa is in Norwav." Drama is embodied in "The Uamekeep"er's Dogs," "The Nomads." and "Beauty and the Beast," and the comic will be' well catered tor in such subjects as "Meddlesome Buttons," "The Irresistible Piano," "Wanted a Son-in-law, and "The Motherly Pram." 'I h;s is the last opportunity of seeing and hearing this fine combination of pictures and music, so everyone should avail themselves of it.

PRONOUNCED INCURABLE.. ANOTHER ZAM-BUK TRIUMPH. '•Zam-Buk Balm has done wonders for me," writes Mrs C. Bannon, of 53 Kent street, Sydney. "For six years I suffered the most dreadful agony with a bad leu. during which time I was attended by" private doctors and attended the Svdn'ev Hospital. Also, for 12 months tlie nursing sisters dressed the wound. The leg, however, in spite of all this treatment, became worse. It presented a fearful si"ht. being swollen and inflamed, and' a large hole formed that defied all the efforts"of nurses and doctors to heal. The agony I went through during those six years'l could not- describe. Finally the doctors informed me that they could do no more, and- that I was incurable. On the advice of a friend I tried ZamBuk Balm. The effect was wonderful, for the wound healed rapidly, and now I am perfectly cured. I often look back and think what agony I might have avoidif I had used Zam-Buk long ago. I give you this testimonial without fee or re ward, in the hope that anyone suffering similarly mav benefit thereby and give Zam-Bii'k Balm a trial." Zam-Buk is the ideal summer skin-balm, its soothing, cooiintr, and nealing virtues making it invaluable for sunburn, freckles, pricklyheat, rash, sore feet, smarting patches, mosquito and other insect bites, nettlerash, and other skin troubles so prevalent during the summer months.
