An accident of a rather etartliri(f" nature occurred 1 at the intersection of High, Manchester, and Lichfield streot nt about 5.30 yesterday. One of the. upon wiflM that 'hold up the tramway .trolley \vi«s fell and a cabman drove over it, although the constable on duty oil' the spot .warned him that it "was "probably huvo. No sooner had the cab horse .stepped on tho wire than it fell w.rithing to tho ground. The constable jerlced the roinn and got the animal off tho-wiro, sustaining n nasty shock himself. Tho horse recovered quickly from the shock. Tho constable. had 1 great difficulty in keeping- the idly curious away from tho wire, but tho break was soon mended.
