December 5. The audited statement of accounts of the New Zealand Band tour (shows receipts of £3426 19e, and expenditure £3396 2s, leaving a balance of £3O 17s. The chief items of receipts are: Subscriptions £2936, oonoerts in Wellington and Maeterton £79, amounts banked by Mr lies (English manager) £325, proceeds of the concert at Eastbourne £25, balance from souvenir ocoounts £42. The chief items of expenditure ore: Travelling expenses £1656, wages ' £1137, •remittance to Mr Mes £203, expanses of collection £133, uniforms £ll2, notel <.xpenses £55. It is proposed tliat the balance be equally divided amongst bandsmen unless tn& majority of the subscribers object in writing before Jantinlry 10th. At a meeting of the.Oommittce of the New Zealand Tennis Association last evening it was decidedpnly tl> pass; the programme for the Christttas tbjinwnleht of the Ashburton Tdnnifi on condition that all sca-aicli everife liwe eliminated in order not to oomi>ete with the championship meetiing at Napier.
