TIME-TABLE CHANGES

Says yesterday's Otago Daily Times: Consequent upon accelerating the speed of the Dimedm-Christchurch express trains, several important alterations are to be made in the Dunedin section as regards the ordinary trains. The Oamaru 2.20 p.m. train, reaching Dunedin at 8.10, will leave Oamaru at 2.5 pirn., and reach its destination at 7.45- p.m. The train leaving the city at 4 o'clock for Palmerston will reach Palmerston at 7.15, instead of 7.50, as at present. This has formerly been scheduled as a goods train with passenger car attached, but it will now become an ordinary train, and will cross the down.express atWaikouaiti, as afpresent, leaving town at the same time as *" usual, and minutes on the journey. There are to be no material alterations in the-7.40 a.m. to Oamaru, except that it will reach Oamaru five minutes earlier. The evening train from Oamaru to Palmerston will leave Oamaru at 3.45, instead of 4.10, and reach Palmerston at 7.30, instead of 8. The Ngapara and Toka-rahi train'will leave Oamaru 20 minutes-later, and will- connect with the down express, which" will leave Oamaru at 4.38 instead of 5:8, and reach Dunedin at 8.15, instead of 9. The up express .will ar-. rive at Oamaru at 2.32, instead of 2.45. The 7.30 train from Oamaru will sligthlv as to stations, but arrive at the eame time. .'The Kurow.'branch train will leave Oamaru at 3.50, instead of 4, and await the down express at Pnkeuri.
