The C-iledonian Society Directors meb last night in the Borough Council Chambers, Mr J. M'Lean presiding. Leave of absence was eranted to Messrs A. Patterson and A. J. Grave. The St. John Ambulance Association wrote asking for a donation to their Brigade Fand, bub consideration was deferred until a later meeting. The President reported re the ansgested competitions for Fira Brigades that the Committee did not recommend their inclusion. The Timaru Brigade were prepared to send a team to compete, bat a number of the best local men would be a'nsent from town.

It was decided not to include the comcations in the programme. The Secretary of the New Zealand Leagae of Wheelmen wrote notifying an alteration in the constitution which would affrct the Society's programme. It was decided to come into line with the League rales. Mr Potter reported that the Privileges Committee bad had it suggested to them chat some attempt should bs made to improve the luncheon provided on the grounds. The Directors favored the privilege being arranged, and not sold at auction as heretofore.

The matter was left to the Privileges Committee. % A strong Committee was appointed to make full arrangements for the smoke concert, which is to be held on the evening of the second day's games. This was all the business.
