They only desired equal rlehts for all races and the security of the Empire, and aimed at ultimately restoring good government and preventing the recurrence of the dangers which had contributed to '-the present condition of affairs In the TransvaaL Lord Wolseley also spoke, and expressed regret that the Imperial authorities were unable to accept a tithe of the offers of assistance from the militia, volunteers, and the colonies. He added that, if necessary, a fresh division of the Second Army Corps wonld be moollised Immediately. Received November 11, at 10.5 a.m. Capetown, November 10. Kimberley was reported safe on November sth. Durban, November 10. The Boers have re-occupied Colenso. A consignment of Free State and Transvaal blended flags has been seized at Port Elizabeth. London, November 10. Thirty howitzers accompany the train organising at Woolwich for the bombardof Pretoria. Received November 11, at 10.4S a.m. Durban, November 10. An official report from Ladysmith received on Thursday says that the bombardment was harmless. Cinder a truce the Boers transferred the refugees. They fired upon the white flag before the British had left the neutral ground. The entrenchments at Ladysmith are being daily strengthened. Capetown, November 10. A Free State] commando has Invested Aliwal North. Tho Free Staters have captured Venterstad, a small township 20 miles south of Bethulie. London, November 10. The transport Persia, with a squadron of the 6th Dragoons on board, en route for South Africa, broke her shaft near Cape Yerde, and drifted towards precipitous rocks. The tug Blazer,, manned by officers of the British cruiser Diadem, opportunely appeared and towed the Persia to St. Yincent for repairs. Tne Red Cross Association has accepted the Duke of Newcastle's offer to equip a hospital ship for which the Princess of Wales is raising funds. Received November 11, at 10.25 a.m. Sydney, November 11. The Langton Grange sails from Newcastle on Monday. No more Lancera will bo sent. The members of the Australian Horse will join the Lancera and make up for those who have returned.
