Oaharu Mail Office, Monday afternoon. There has been a fair amount of business doing this week in grain, and several fairly large tinea of wheat have been sold at price 3 quoted below. The market closes firm at quotations, with a good inquiry. Oats have also been changing hands pretty freely at laat week's rates and the demand is good. Potatoes aro a comparative drug, sales being ■lack. We quote— Wheat—Tuscan 2a Id to 2a 3d; velvet, 2e H to 2a 3d ; red 3traw, 23 2d ; seconds, la 6d to Is 9d ; good whole fowls', Is 6d to Is 9d (sacks net). Oats—Prime short oats, 13 3d to la 4d ; Danish, Is Id to la 2d ; Duns, la 2d to la 3d (sacks extra, 4£d), all f.o.b. Barley—Prime malting, 2a 6d; medium, 2a to 2a 3d ; inferior, la 6d to la 9d ; good feed, la 6d to la 9d. Floor—Roller, L 7; Stone, LI leaa. Brae, L2 10a. Pollard, L 3 sa. Potatoes—Ll 10a to L2at country stations (sacks extra). Dairy Produce—Butter, prime factory, lOd; local factory, lOd ; dairy, 7d. Eggs, la. Cheese, 4£d. Pork, 4rl to 4£d. Hams, S|d Bacon, 7d to 7id.
