There is great excitement at Bathurst over a rich gold find at Chambers Creek. The gold exposed on the reef is two feet wide, and resembles a jeweller's shop. The stone is literally hanging together with gold. It is said to be on the same line of reef where Holdeman's famous L 20,000 nugget was found. Assays show 23 ounces to the ton.
The Premier intends to appoint & Commission to inquire into tuberculosis in cattle.
