Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report that prices ruled as follows at their auction sales to-day : Oats—Bidding w»s slack and most of those offered were passed in. For private sale the demand i 3 somewhat quieter, as those offering in the count: y have been fairly heavy, while orders from outside markets are coming to hand slowly. We quote : Tartars and duns, fit for seed, 2s 6d to 2s 9d ; prime milling. 2* 5d to 2s 7d ; good to best feed, 2s 3id to 2i 5i ; medium, 2s 2d to 23 3d per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat.—lhe market has remained firm for all lines of prime milling and fair sales of this quality have been made. We quote : Prime milling velvet, 4s lid to 5s 2d ; Tuscan, 4s lOd to 5s ; medium, 4s 6d to 4s 9d ; fowl wheat, 3s 6d to 4a Id per bushel, sacks in. Potatoes—We offered a fair quantity, most of which were sold on a par with last week's prices, viz ,16 to L62s 6d per ton, sacks in. Chaff—We submitted S trucks, but, a3 competition was weak, we pissnd the bulk ia. We quote: Best oaten sheaf, L 3 15s to 12 17j 6d ; choice, L 4 ; medium, L 3 7s 6d to L 3 10i per ton, bags extra. Turnip3.—We sold several trucks at 20s per ton, loose.
