TOWN v. COUNTRY. The return match between the above teams was played on Saturday, when the Country were this time victorious by 12 runs. The latter went in first, and put np 96 due mainly to the efforts of Borton, Shann, Holmes and Macdonald. The losers started very badly, but when Murray got going It looked as though the Town might possibly win. Murray, however, ran himself out as did Tennent, who was, also making things lively. Two wonderfully smart catches put the finishing touches on the Town's chances, and the game ended as stated above. The weather was fairly good in the early part of the afternoon, but later on a miserable misty drizzle set in, which made things very uncomfortable for the players. The fielding of both sides was remarkably good, and the catching the best that has been seen on the ground. W. M'Donald was very successful with the ball for the losers, securing six wickets at a cost of 11 runs. Scores :
