O.C.C. v. WAITAKI HIGH SCHOOL PAST AND PRESENT. The above match was played on Saturday and, after a rather slow game, resulted in a win for the School by five wickets on the first innings. The afternoon was miserably dull, and thick rain put a stop to play. The Club went in first and were all disposed of for 38, to which total Mowbray contributed exactly half, irrespective of byes. The School put up 46 for five wickets M. S. Holmes playing well for his 19. In justice to the Club, it must be admitted that their team was far from being a representative one, and had all their players put in an appearance the game would undoubtedly have been a well contested one.
