What then can bo the object in delaying the opening day 1 Many peoplo have made arrangements to get away for the Ist, and without good reason can be shown why should they not keep up the time-honored custom of meeting on that daj. I think they should be allowed to do so. It cannot be pleaded that game are backward this season.—l am, etc., Spobt.
