(by telegraph.) (per PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND. January 16. At a meeting of the Committee o£ the Auckland Riflo Association the forthcoming New Zealand Rifle Assoc atlon meeting was discussed. The presidenb was asked to communicate with the Defence Minister re the quality of the ammunition to be supplied for the meeting. , The Auckland Savings Bank yearly returns show an increase of deposits of L 18.634 afc the credit of depositors on lab January, L 543,798 reserve fund, L 30,000 investment, fluctuation account Llo,ooo # profit and loss L.4858, making a grand total of L 588,456. The two principal items of investment are 411 mortgages, embracing L 220,015 and L 150,000 in Government securities. The Children a Penny Savings Bank has at credit L 8350.
