OMABAMA RACES. (from our own correspondent.) The Omarama races were held on the 18th September and were a great success. The weather was all that coald be desired, and a large number gathered to witness the different events. Real good finishes were the order of the day. Messrs A. Paine, A Sutherland, and W. H. Munro acted as handicappers, and gave every satisfaction. Mr Paine showed that he was master of the flag, magnificent starts being the order of the meeting. Mr and Mrs Munro, of the hotel, were most attentive to the wants of the many who were there, especially Mrs Munro," who spared neither time nor expense to have a spread equal to the occasion, and one which really did her credit.
