The Rowing Association has resolved that it i 3 desirable to alter the definition of amateur so as to exclude all persons competing for cash prizes in any branch of athletics. The agricultural returns show that the number of cultivated holdings in the present year has decreased by 565 and the acreage by 95,800 compared with last year.
