The Hon. John M'Zenzie at Hampden.

(BY TEIEGBAPH.) FBOM OtTR OWN CORRESPONDENT. Hampden, May 4. The Hon. John M'Kerizie addressed his constituent?: at Hampden this evening. Mr W. Murcott, the Mayor, presided. There was a large attendance, several ladies being present. At the conclusion of th 9 address'Mr A. Gillies moved a hearty Tote/of thanks, a .vote of confidence in Mr M'Kenzie as their representative, and a vote of confidence in the Government. Mr .Tohn Douglas (blacksmith, Hampden), moved and' Mr James B. Moodie (clerk, Moeraki station), seconded an amendment: of no confidence. On a show of hands "being taken the motion was declared earned by a large majority by the Chairman. Three - cheers were then given for the Minister.
