(BY TE&COBAFB.) Wellksotox. June 7. James Banbttry, in employee of Thns. Canning, Lower Hott, committed suicide by hanging himself. There will be an inquest on the remains. At the invest on Banbury no cause coold be assigned for his suicide, and the jury returned a verdict that the act was committed white he was temporarily insane. Gisborsb, June /.
A laborer named Henry Exworthy has tieen missed for a fortnight. He w supposed to have been drowned crossing the river, on the banks of which hw horse (saddled) was found. CHRisrcntTßCH. June t.
Mr A. J. White, one of the best known business men in Christchurch. died early this morning after a protracted illness. WASGAStn. June 7.
A sad and sudden death occurred last evening, when Garland W. R. Woon, a very old resident, fell into the river, oving to failure of the heart. Woon was for sixteen year* clerk of the R.M. and District Court* here, and was retrenched in 1892, He was the eldest son of the late Rev. W. Woon. Wcsleyan Methodist missionary at Tonga and the Friendly Islands. Deceased was the founder of »he first newspaper in New Plymouth (the Taranaki Herald).
