MISREPRESENTATION EXTRAORDINARY.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —The Dunedin syndicate who are runnirg the concert on Easter Saturday seem intent on deceiving the Oamaru public. On no less than four occasions they advertised Miss Ada Geddes, of Invercargill, to sing at their concert, and this, too, without the slightest authority from the young lady concerned. We have gone to considerable trouble to obtain the services of Miss Geddes in order to aive our patrons something novel, and it gave us no little see surprise that young lady's name tigurina among the performers at the Hutton Family concert. This Dunedin syndicate have also advertised Miss Blaney, the premier soprano, but if I mistake not that young lady is at the present moment in Melbourne, and cannot possibly sing in Oamaru on next Saturday night. Now, when a Dunedin company make up their mind to come to Oamaru to take money out of the town, they might at least have sufficient uprightness to refrain from deception of this kind. I am, etc., M. J. Ha>->t>-g. Hon. Secretary Hibernian Concert Committee.
