SOCIAL REFORM ASSOCIATION.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —The resolution passed at the meeting of the Social Reform Association requesting the Legislature to raise the age of consent to 18 was- not carried unanimously. For my part, I opposed it, on the ground of it being impracticable, dangerous, and irrational, for reasons which I gave at length. Therefore, I should be sorry to be considered a party to such a resolution, though I was in favor of asking that the age should be raised to sixteen.—l am, etc., H. G. Gould.
