An old miner named Tom Millikin committed suicide at Dunganville last night by blowing his brains out. INVERCARGILL. January 4. At the wool sales to-day about 10,000 bales were submitted. There was a large attendance of buyers and good competition. The top price obtained was 8d for fine crossbred. Good crossbreds are ruling from 6d to 7d. Though prices show a serious fall compared with last year, they are somewhat better than those obtained in the North. Very few lots have been passed in.
