The weather was glorious, there being scarcely any wind. The new cycling track, with four wellbanked corners, was in capital order. Two thousand people were present. (BY TELEGRAPH.) Timaru, December 17. The Tourists' Cycling Sports wero well patronised to-day, but the weather was very hot, and a nor'-wester blow the greater part of the afternoon. Goldstono (55yds.) won the Half-Mile ; Pither tho Five Mile Championship (Reynolds and Hall fell) in 13min 41 2-sth sees, and he also won the Five-Mile Open ; Cameron (280 yds) won the Three-Mile Roadster; S. Macdonald (80yds) the Ladies' Bracelet of li mile, and the Threo-Mile Open (135 yds) ; and Shearman (scr) the TwoMile Roadster. There were numerous accidents, live men falling in tho second heat. The Half-Mile and Champion Race were robbed of a brilliant finish by Reynolds falling and bringing down Hall.
