Public Noti" "JJ"NIVERSITY OF NEW ZEALAND. DECEMBER EXAMINATIONS FOR MATRICULATION, JUNIOR SCHOLARSHIPS, MEDICAL PRELIMINARY, BARRISTERS' AND SOLICITORS' GENERAL KNOWLEDGE (in part). These examinations will commence on TUESDAY/ DECEMBER 11th. Places of Examination:—Auckland, Gisborne, Napier, Wanganui, Wellington, Nelson, Greymouth, Christchurch, Timaru, Oamaru, Dunedin, and Invercargill. Candidates must send in to the Registrar of the University, Wellington, on or before WEDNESDAY, October 24-tb, a list of the subjects in which they desire to be examined, signed with all their names in full, accompanied by a statement of their age last birthday, and by the examination fee, from which there is no exemption in any ease. Candidates' notices will be accepted up to Tuesday, October 31st (but not later) only on condition that they are accompanied by a treble fee. The fee for the Matriculation, the Medical Preliminary, or the General Knowledge Examinations, is Two Guineas ; the Fee for the Junior Scholarship is One Guinea, but in the last case a second guinea will be payable if the candidate after passing wishes to be matriculated. Candidates must distinctly mention for which Examination they propose to come up. Candidates for the Junior Scholarship Examination must be not less than 16 and not more than 19 years of age on December Ist.
