Mr Glassey's amendment to alter the title of the measure to the Coercion Bill was rejected by 38 to 17- The closure was applied before tho title passed, and the whole Opposition then left the Chamber in a body amidst vociferous cheers from the public gallories. Mr Kerr was suspended for seven days for defying the Chairman. Received September 13, at noon.] Brisbane, September 2. The Peace Preservation Bill has passed through committee.
