THE NEW SOUTH WALES TEAM. [by telegraph.] Teuaru, September 10. The match New South Wales v. South Canterbury was played to-day, in fine weather, and there was a large attendance. The local men were completely outplayed, and the visitors won by the large score of 23 points to nothing. Tries were secured by Galloway, Carson, Hannan, and Cobb in the first spell, while in the second spell Eyre. Galloway, and Surman got tries, and Cobb converted one by Galloway. The game was, on the whole, very open, and New South Wales played a hard same all through, keeping' their opponents moving on the defensive, the game ending at 5.20 p.m.
