DUNEDIN MARKETS. (BY TELEGRAPH.) (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Dunedin, April 2. Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report today's sales as follows : Oats —Fair demand ; milling Is 3d to Is 5d j feed, Is 3d to Is 4d (sacks extra). Wheat is dull. Milling, 2s 6d to 2s 7d ; feed, 2s 4d to 2s 5d (sacks in). Barley—Good demand. Prime malting, 3s 8d to 3s lOd : discolored, 3s to £s 6d (sacks extra). Potatoes are plentiful. Kidneys, L 3 to L 3 2s 6d ; prime Derwents, L2 12s 6d to L2 17- 6d ; inferior, L2 5s to L2 10s (sacks in). Chaff—There is a glut. Prime oaten, L2 7s 6d to L2 12s 6d; inferior, L2 to L2 ss; wheaten, Ll 10a to LI 153. SALE OF STUD SHEEP. The Mutual Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited) report: We held our usual annual sale of stud sheep at Burnside yards on Thursday. The total entry was considerably the largest yet made at this fait, over 2000 being penned. There was a large attendance of buyers and others interested from all parts of Otago and Canterbury, and although sales opened somewhat dull, a3 the auctions progressed prices improved, and on the whole a very satisfactory day's business resulted. Border Leicesters were most in demand, and topped the market. The quality of the stock, with a few exceptions, was not quite up to the usual standard. We sold as under : For Mr John Reid (Elderslie), 1 Border Leicester stud ram at 13|gs, to Mr John Allan (Bellfield); 1 do do at 9gs, to Mr R. Glendining (Kyeburn) ; 1 do do at 6gs, to Mr A. Bevan (Waianiwa); Idodo at sgs, to Mr T, F. Rupsell (Milburn); 1 do do at 4fgs, to Mr Joseph Allan (Hopehill). For Messrs Little Brothers (Ngapara), 1 Border Leicester stud ram at logs," to Messrs J. and J. Sutherland (Milburn); 1 do do at 14gs, to Mr A. North (Portobello); Ido at 12gs, to Mr J. E. Lefevre (Hampden) ; 1 do at 7gs, to Mr A. Bevan (Waianiwa) ; 1 do at Sgs, to Messrs Muir Brothers (Palmerston) ; 3 do at 3Jss, to Mr R. Mitchell (Portobello) ; Bdoat3gs, to Mr A. B. Kitchener (Dunback) ; 4 do at 2Jgs, to Mr A. Douglas (East Taieri).
