"■*• TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—l was surprised to notice in a recent issue that diphtheria existed in the town, and you gave, as corroborative of the fact, that a fatal case had occurred. Now, I am in a position to assert that, in the instance you referred to, the death resulted from another cause. Unless it be in some other parts of the town, the public may rest assured that no diphtheria case has yet been authenticated by any medical or other competent authority. I am, etc., J. Church.
