Waitaki High School.

+—. A team from the Boys' High School visited Christchurch durinsr the Easter holidays and fired a match with the Christchurch Boys High School Cadets. The conditions were five shots at 200, 300, and 400 yards. The local boys got a lead of 8 points on the first range but owing to one of their crack shots breaking up at 300 yards and failing to find the target at all this advantage was wiped out, and the two teams started level at the third range. The local boys, however, came away at the third range and ultimately won easily by 43 points. Advantage was also taken of the_ visit to play a cricket match but the superiority of the Christchurch team here asserted itself and they won somewhat easily by five wickets. The boys were entertained most hospitably by Mr E. E. Bevan-Brown, the headmaster, and altogether had a most enjoyable visit.
