The gold entered for duty for exportation from New Zealand for the quarter ending June 30th, 1892, amounted to 57,3350z, valued at L 228,783. Of this amount the County of Waitaki contributed 4030z, valued at L 1652. The largest contribution came from Westland County with 94260z, valued at L 37,666 ; and the smallest from Fiord County with 540z, valued at L 216. The West Coast, of course, heads the districts for tho half year with 56,5470z, and the remaining districts are in the same order as in tho previous corresponding half year, though the amounts are all smaller. Marlborough only shows a remarkable increase tho returns for this half year being 27130z, as compared with 360z for tho first half year of 1891. POSTAL AND TELEGRAPHIC. The postal revenue for the quarter ending June 30th gives the following local details of business done at Oamaru £ s. d. RAINFALL. The rainfall at Maheno for tho month of June was o"4oin. Rain fell on three days only, the maximum fall being 0 , 22i»i on the 11th. The highest recorded falls were at Milford Sound, 20'96in ; PuysegurPoiut, 19'60m ;Inglewood, 17'85in ; and Greymouth, 14'77in. Four other places recorded double figures. The lowest falls were at Maheno, as above ; Kapunatiri (Rangitata), 0"80 in ; Cape Campbell, 1.35 in ; Winchmore (Ashburton), l"18in and Balclutha, 1.37 in. Rain fell on 24 days at Wellington, 23 at Inglewood, 25 at Puysegur, 22 at Woodville, and 17 only at Milford. Only four days wore blessed at Cape Campbell, while Winchmore took 12 days to make up l'lßin.
