Bowling.
A friendly game of bowls was played off on Saturday evening on the Phoenix Club's green, between players employed at the Crown Flour Mills and those at the Oamaru Woollen Factory, in which former were victorious. The following is the result:— CROWN MILLS. "WOOLLEN* FACTORY. No. 1 Rink Miller Haining Calder White Dawson Scoon Meek (skip) ... 24 Paterson (skip)... 17 No. 2 Rink. Brockie Orr Thorpe (skip) ...23 Symington (skip) 17 47 34 It is understood that a return match will be played shortly at the Oamaru Club's green.
