THE CHELMER-STREET RESERVE.
TO THE EDITOl!
g lßj —Your correspondent, " A Lover of Nature," asks the question, Why should the old cricket ground remain useless ? I consider that a. proper question to put before the Borough Council. The youths of the town improved the Chelmer-street reserve, and are now driven from it. Does he expect them to improve another and eventually get treated in the same way again ? The change might be beneficial to the " valuable property," and probably enlighten the tastes of an ignorant Old Sport.
