Buster, Bst 61b 1 Affiance Bsfc 61b 2 Cremorne, Sst 61b 3 Eight started. Betting—2 to 1 against Corvette, 4 to 1 Affiance, 6 to 1 Buster, Cremorne led into the straight, when Buster, accompanied by Affiance, came with a rush, the former winning by a neck. Time, lmin 58sec. Steeplechase, about three miles. Caledonian, Sst 61b ... ... 1 Bushman, list 91b ... ... 2 Marmion, lOst 101b ... ... 3 Eleven horses started. Caledonian was taken to the front on the fall of the flag, and was never caught, winning in a canter by 100 yards, the same distance separating the second and third horses. Marvel, lOst olb (Harris) ... 1 Cobham, 9st 91b (Gallen) ... 2 Warrego, 7st (Scliaafer)... ... 3 Six horses started. Betting—Even money on Marvel, 7 to 2 against Yowi, 5 to 1 Cobham. Mantilla was first away, but on passing the stand iTowi was in front, with Marvel last. This order was maintained for half a mile, when Cobham asserted himself, and came on in the lead. As the field approached the three furlongs post Marvel moved up into third place, and as they entered the straight the positions were : Cobham, Warrego, Marvel. The latter drew lip to the leader at the distance,-and won comfortably by a length and a half. Time, 3min 6sec.

Raxiiwick Platk, tlirco miles. Megaphone (Power) ... ... 1 Mclos (Gainsford) ... ... 2 Albemarle (Huxley) ... ... 3 The other starters were Sunshine and Bengal. Betting—Evon money oil Megaphone, 7 to 4 against Melos, 6 to 1 Sunshine, 8 to 1 Albemarle, 10 to 1 Bengal. Sunshine was the first to move, but being steadied Bengal went to the front, and led by a length past the stand the first time, Melos and Megaphone, watching one another, lying last. At Oxenham's Bengal had increased his lead to twelve lengths, and kept on improving, so that by the time they entered the straight the second time he was twenty lengths to the good, all the others being close together except Megaphone, who was whipping in. At the milo post Bengal was still a long way ahead, with Albemarle and Megaphone next. At tho five furlong post Megaphone improved his position, followed by Mclos. The favorite was tho lirst into tho straight, and coming on full of running, won comfortably by three lengths. Time—smin 32isec. Final. Han'dioai', one milo and a quarter. Elymas, Sst ... ... ... 1 Realm, 7st 01b ... ... ... 2 Sir Anthony, 7st 01b ... ... 3 Betting—3 to 1 Elymas, 4to 1 Rotorfc, 10 to 1 the others. Won by a length and a half. Time, 2inin Usee. The victories of Marvel and Megaphone were received with great enthusiasm.
