A sensation was occasioned in sporting circles to-day, when it was learnt that Tradition, who had been heavily supported for the Grand National Hurdles, had been scratched. He is believed to have injured his leg while schooling this morning. Simpleton is scratched for the Hurdles, and Aliua for all engagements. There is but little betting, the following being the latest quotations : 4 to 1 against Havilah, 7 to 1 Ixion, 10 to 1 Frolic and Redleaf, 12 to 1 Leroy, Bellringer, and Lottie.
