Received April 27, at 1 p.m.] London, April 27. At Thurles, at Tipperary, a party of Parnellites attacked a procession composed of anti-Parnellites while on its way to Archbishop Croke, and a sharp fight took place. Both sides made use of sticks and stones, and many of the participants were injured, especially about their heads.
Parnell declares that he himself has always been opposed to the plan of campaign, and states that in 1887 Mr Gladstone asked the Parnellite party to suppress the plan, as it was ruining the Liberal cause.
