At the annual meeting of the Sblpownsra' Society, a general opinion was expressed that a further contest between the dock laborers and owners was Inevitable, and it m believed that the owners will take united action and close their docks. The Marine Officers' Association has declined to accept tbo conditions sought to be Imposed opon tbem by the shipowner*, that they should not affiliate with any labor organisation.
