At a general meeting of the Industrial Association, held to-night to consider the railway tariff, it waa unanimously resolved "That in the opinion of this meeting tha railways should be so ndministered bb to assist producers and the industries of the colony to a much greater d»gree than at present; and that, with this io view, the tariff shr.u'.d be simpli6ed and very Urge concessions mide on the cirringe of the natural and Industrial products of tho colony, especially thoee coming from or going to districts at a durance from a port; that this meeting is of rplnlnn that the policy of cheap railway fires and freichti would assist in settling the country, would increase its products, and stimulate its industries; also, that the indirect benefit of such a policy would compensate for any loss of railway revenue which might be en» tailed."
