Sir,—Your atrloturos on the ao-oalled portraits appearing In the Witness aro just. I have Been them, and they aro fearfully and wonderfully made. The artist for the Witness ought to go to sohool. The proprietors of the Wltnesß ought to bs ashamed to allow such a thing to appear bb a sample of New Zealand talent. I am, eta., D. Sandilands.
