Tbe Publio Petitions Committee pre* senied to-day tho following report on tho petition of William Christie, of Oitmara : " Tho petitioner accuses Mr District Judge Ward of perversion of judgment in sentencing him to Imprisonment for fraudulent bankraploy, and prays that steps may be taken to ensure the proper administration of justice In tho Dlstrlot Court of Oamaru and Tlmarn." I am dlreoted to report that after oareful consideration of the evldenoa laid before the Committee, consistlngjof the Juagos' notos, letters put as exhibits, and the Colonial Investment and Agency Company's statement of acoouutß, the Commlttoe is of opinion that justice has been properly administered in the petitioner's case by Judge Ward."
